Just outside the park’s South Rim is the town of Tusayan where you can find horseback rides at Apache Stables. Please note that they DO NOT go into the Grand Canyon and below the rim but rather ride through the ponderosa pine forest south of the park’s boundaries. This is an excellent choice for those who want a more leisurely ride and may not be experienced riders. Below is the information found on their website. Be sure to check with them for their current rates and times.
