Visitor services and facilities inside the national park on the North Rim are only open from mid-May to mid-October. Listed are gift shops, laundry and coin-operated showers, post office, fuel, medical, and similar visitor services.
Here you'll find descriptions of day hikes in varying lengths that can be done from the South Rim.
Mule trips originating from the North Rim do not go to Phantom Ranch. They only offer rim and trips that go part way into the Inner Canyon. If you want to go to Phantom Ranch, you must take a mule ride from the South Rim.
