Larry Lindahl, Sedona photographer, is published in books, magazines, and scenic calendars. He enjoys sharing his knowledge of photography as an instructor for his own Sedona Photo Hikes as well as Grand Canyon Association Field Institute and Sedona’s Enchantment Resort.
In his book, Secret Sedona, Lindahl thoroughly explores his connection to Sedona’s sandstone wilderness. This best selling book published by Arizona Highways features both his award-winning photography and field journal entries collected over a twelve-year period. With his vast experience in Red Rock Country, he was asked to write the chapter on photographing Sedona in the “Arizona Highways Photography Guide.”
Lindahl’s landscape photography has been featured in a portfolio and interview in Outdoor Photographer magazine. They stated, “It’s easy to hear in Lindahl’s words a passion both for photography and the natural world. He works to tune in to the emotions elicited by a place in order to shape the photographs he makes of it.”
Arizona Highways magazine has published several portfolios of his landscape photography, as well as feature stories he has written about backpacking in Sedona and Grand Canyon.
His most recent project was photographing Arizona’s Route 66 icons for the brand new book titled “Arizona Kicks on Route 66.” Currently, Larry just signed a contract as photographer for another new book to be called “The Ancient Southwest” featuring the ancient ruins of Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.
