Whether you are birdwatcher, backpacker, or budding botanist, the Grand Canyon Field Institute (GCFI) has the perfect class for you in 2014. GCFI, the premier education program for the Grand Canyon Association, is going on its 21st year of providing expert-led, single and multi-day learning adventures for park visitors of all ages.
New next year will be a raptor count with HawkWatch International, a dragonfly survey as part of a nationwide Citizen Science project, and drawing and journaling workshops. These new offerings join the tried-and-true backpacking trips, river trips, rim-based programs, and service-based trips in one of the broadest offerings of educational programming that you’ll find in the National Park System. There truly is something for everyone.
GCFI works in full partnership with the National Park Service, assisting them in their efforts to preserve and protect this national treasure.
