South Rim Restaurants, Cafés & Delis

Visit the park’s Grand Canyon National Park Public Health Update for the most up-to-date information and to see what is open.

Below is information on South Rim food establishments that are located in or near the park.

Please note that I am only providing information and links to the companies below. I do not work with any of them and cannot help you with reservations or more in-depth information. Please contact the appropriate companies below.

South Rim and Tusayan Restaurants, Cafés & Delis

Inside the Park

  • Arizona Steakhouse – Located directly on the rim of the Grand Canyon, they offer aged, hand-cut steaks, BBQ ribs, chicken, and fish inspired by flavors and ingredients of Arizona and the American Southwest.
  • Bright Angel Fountain – Located near the Bright Angel gift shop and trailhead. Features hot dogs, sandwiches, ice cream beverages, and snacks. Open seasonally and hours vary.
  • Cafe at Mather Point – Located in Bright Angel Bikes at the Visitor Center at Mather Point. They offer a variety of delicious Grab ‘n Go sandwiches, salads, pastries made fresh and local with quality ingredients. They have a full-service espresso bar and also offer a large variety of juices, sodas, energy drinks, and more.
  • Canyon Coffee House – Located in the Bright Angel Lodge, the Canyon Coffee House offers an assortment of coffees, teas, and light breakfast items.
  • Canyon Village Market & Deli – The deli is the ideal location to pick up a freshly made sandwich or salad to put in the backpack or cooler, or you can relax at indoor or outdoor seating with a pizza or chicken wings. Breakfast is served every morning along with coffee drinks, tea, and hot cocoa.
  • Desert View Market & Deli – Located 26 miles east of Grand Canyon Village at Desert View. The deli offers healthy, made-to-order sandwiches along with pizza and breakfast items. Choose from breakfast burritos, salads, Native American tacos, and more. Indoor and outdoor seating is available at this location.
  • El Tovar Dining Room – Located in the El Tovar Hotel. Breakfast and lunch are casual in a classic setting. El Tovar Dining Room is a classic, fine dining experience for dinner.
  • Fred Harvey Burger – Fred Harvey Burger, located at Bright Angel Lodge, is a casual family-friendly restaurant featuring healthy diner-style fare prepared in the Harvey House tradition.
  • Fred Harvey Food Trucks – Grand Canyon South Rim features two snack carts that offer fast-casual offerings for guests who want something quick on the go. These two carts, the Fred Harvey Food Truck and the Sustain Your Hike Cart, will be stationed at different locations at the South Rim throughout the day to help hikers and visitors to the park refresh and refuel. 
  • Hermits Rest Snack Bar – Located at Hermits Rest, you’ll find snack items, including sandwiches, chips, ice cream, and hot chocolate. 
  • Maswik Food Court – Located in Maswik Lodge at the west end of the village. Diners will find four individual food stations including a wide variety of breakfast selections, traditional home-style lunch and dinner entrées, grilled burgers, hot sandwiches, and deli sandwiches. Families will love our affordable menu selections and hikers will appreciate the option of grabbing lunches prepared in “to go” containers.
  • Village Dogs – Located outside Canyon Village Market, Village Dogs serves a variety of gourmet hot dogs seasonally during the warm weather months. –
  • Yavapai Coffee Shop – Located in the main lobby of the lodge; they have coffee, baked goods like bagels and croissants, sandwiches, wraps, ice cream, and salads-to-go.
  • Yavapai Lodge Restaurant – Yavapai Lodge’s Dining Hall serves Southwest-inspired American comfort food and other chef-inspired items. The dining hall is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Yavapai Tavern – Yavapai Tavern is located at Yavapai Lodge and serves Arizona craft beer and creative burgers in addition to offering one of the South Rim’s only outdoor dining areas. Order at the bar and then choose a seat inside near a television or choose a seat outdoors on the patio near the fire pit and enjoy the high desert climate.

Tusayan (town south of park entrance)

  • Big E Steakhouse & Saloon – Western-theme-style dinner restaurant with steaks, fish, salads, and pasta.
  • Canyon Café – Located in the Canyon Room of the Squire Inn at the lobby level and is primarily for breakfast and lunch with American and Southwestern dishes.
  • Coronado Room – Fine dining located in the Best Western Grand Canyon Squire Inn.
  • Plaza Bonita – An Arizona chain of Mexican restaurants serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • Squire Pub – Fun for the whole family, you don’t have to travel far to enjoy our on-site bowling alley, arcade, and billiards tables. Our resort-style family game room provides hours of entertainment. You can order classic pub fare, as well as your favorite pizza for a casual, fun evening.
  • We Cook Pizza and Pasta – The name says it all. Pizza, hot wings, pasta, salad bar, beer, and soda.
  • The Canyon Star Restaurant – Located in the Grand Hotel at the south end of town.
